G8 Global Marketplace for SMEs Seminar
Infomart, 16 April 1999, Dallas, Texas

At the G8 Global Marketplace Seminar on 16 April in Dallas, Texas, the G8 Pilot will take stock of achievements and engage in a critical discussion about the global marketplace for SMEs. This is the opportunity to contribute to defining the future of electronic commerce for SMEs. Invited to the meeting are experts in industry, in industry associations, and in public policy bodies for SMEs and for electronic commerce. Also participating are the members of the G8 Policy Group, who are the national and international electronic commerce policy makers in electronic commerce for SMEs. The meeting is expected to result in recommendations for future work at international and national level in public and private bodies to promote the participation of SMEs in the global marketplace through electronic commerce.

The Crowne Plaza is the preferred hotel and you must make your reservation by Monday, March 29, to take advantage of the special rate. You will need to provide the hotel with an arrival and departure date, smoking preference and a credit card number to guarantee the reservation.

Transport Facilities From The Crown Plaza

There is no courtesy shuttle between the hotel and Dallas/Ft Worth Airport.
You may use Discount Shuttle to get here, the cost is $11 per person one
way and $8 round trip. You may make those arrangements in advance by
calling 817-267-5150. The Crowne Plaza does offer complimentary transportation to and from Love Field airport based on availability. To take advantage of that simply call the hotel upon arrival at the airport. It also offers complimentary transportation within a five mile radius of the hotel, also based on
availability.

Sheraton Suites is closer to Infomart being only 1/2 mile away. Crowne Plaza is about 2 miles and Melrose is the most elegant being 5 miles away.

Buses are running to/from all 3 hotels.

Food Arrangements

Breakfast and lunch will be available on both days at Infomart centre.

Entry is by pre-paid ticket only.

It is assumed that all participants on Friday will attend Lunch, if you also wish to participate in the Friday breakfast, or Thursday meals you must inform us by March 30th.

Thursday 15th

Breakfast which is from 8:00 - 9:30 a.m. with Governor Bush speaking and Sir Leon Brittan.

Breakfast menu:

Baked Croissant filled with Smoked Ham, Cheddar Cheese, and Scrambled Eggs, Country Fried Potatoes, Blueberry Muffins, Orange Juice and Coffee.

Lunch menu:

Caesar Salad, Grilled Breast of Chicken with Penne Pasta, Vegetable Medley and Chocolate Mousse plus iced tea and coffee.

Friday 16th

Breakfast from 8 - 9 with Hugo Paemen speaking.

Breakfast menu:

Scrambled Eggs with Chorizo Sausage and Cheddar Cheese in Tortilla with Cilantro Salsa, Potatoes, Poppyseed Muffins, Orange Juice and Coffee.

Lunch speaker to be announced.
